Knights Stoke Proud To Support The Donna Louise Trust22/08/2017
As proud partners of The Donna Louise Children's Hospice, Knights North Staffordshire are aiming to raise additional funding that will go directly to the Trust to help towards the costs of continuing this fantastic service in the Local area.
Over the coming months Knights will be getting involved in several events, challenges and plenty of fundraising initiatives to ensure that we raise as much funding as possible for this worthy cause.
Our Head of Business, James Platt, said, "We are all thrilled to be supporting The Donna Louise Children's Hospice, a Trust that provides a quality palliative care service to children in the Local community. I am very much looking forward to the whole Business getting involved in the various fundraising events to raise money for such a worthy cause."
We have now got an artwork display set-up at the Stoke BMW Centre full of fantastic images prepared by children that are currently receiving palliative care. This is a great opportunity for you to come down to Knights Stoke and purchase a copy of one of these stunning images.
The Donna Louise Trust
The Donna Louise Children's Hospice was registered as a charity in 1999. They were set up to respond to the need for a children's hospice service for Staffordshire and Cheshire.
The charity takes its name from a young local girl, Donna Louise Hackney, who sadly died from a life limiting condition at the age of 16. Her family wanted to help other children and families in a similar situation and so began fundraising in her name.
To provide a quality palliative care service to children, young people, and their families, through effective partnership working aligned with our values.
Paediatric Palliative Care is a complete approach to treating serious illness that focuses on the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of the child. Its goal is to achieve the best quality of life available to the child or young person by relieving suffering and controlling pain and symptoms.
